At tonight’s concert Prost!, we have a lot to celebrate — we are kicking off our new trans-Atlantic partnership with the Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra and Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has declared today Denver and Bavarian Philharmonic Day!
Guest conductor Mark Mast has flown in from Munich, Germany to lead our musicians in an all-German program featuring clarinetist Jeremy Reynolds and music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Maria von Weber and Paul Hindemith.
Before the concert, don’t miss our Oktoberfest-in-April! (April-toberfest?) We’ll be raising a glass of local, German-style craft lager from Ursula Brewery and creating gemütlichkeit in the lobby with the Chalet Dancers and accordionist Ron Stierle. (Uh, what the fugue is gemütlichkeit?)
We hope you can join us tonight for the debut of the partnership with our new sister orchestra, and we look forward to sharing the talents of Maestro Mast and the Bavarian Philharmonic with you in the years to come.
