We just got the menu for Friday & Saturday’s DPO With a Twist: Havana to Harlem — our mouths are watering and had to share the Cuban cuisine with you. Chef Molly from the Denver Performing Arts Complex caterers, Centerplate, has spent some time with Sergio Negrin, owner of Frijoles Colorado restaurant, to capture the authenticity of Cuban cuisine.
Food menu includes Root Vegetable Chips with mango salsa; Corn & Cheese Empanadas with coconut crème fraîche and citrus slaw; Mojo Marinated Flank Steak Sandwich with Creole sauce, black beans and date jam; Petite Cuban Sliders and plantain chips; dulce de leche and spiced chocolate Churros; and Walk Away Rice Pudding with coconut, rum and bananas foster.
In true DPO With a Twist style, they’ll also be serving up Mojitos, Negro Modelos, Saocos and Cuba Libres.
March 9 & 10, we are co-presenting a can’t-miss collaboration between the Grammy Award-winning Harlem Quartet, Cuban pianist/composer Aldo López-Gavilán and Denver Philharmonic musicians — topped off with this amazing collaboration menu between Frijoles Colorado and Centerplate.
See you in Havana!
