Dear Friends,
From the first downbeat to the final ovation, you made this season magical.
Whether you dressed up for Fright Night, followed along as we welcomed and evaluated three remarkable conductor finalists, celebrated the legacy of Antonia Brico, or joined us in applauding Scott O’Neil as our new music director—you were there. You showed up. You brought energy, curiosity, and heart to every moment.
Because of you, this season was so much more than concerts. It was a celebration of community. Together, we welcomed service dogs in training to our audience, introduced haptic vests for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing, and shared powerful, diverse works that stretched across cultures, continents, and time. We honored 77 years of music-making while looking boldly toward the future.
And none of it would be possible without you.
As we turn the page to a new season, I hope you’ll stay with us—by picking up a season ticket to enjoy the full experience all year long, grabbing tickets to concerts that speak to you, making a donation to support our mission, or simply telling a friend about what we’re doing here at DPO. We believe classical music is for everyone, and we mean it. We never turn anyone away at the door.
That’s what makes this orchestra different. That’s what makes you essential.
Thank you for making this season unforgettable. Here’s to the next!
With gratitude,
Roger Haak
DPO Executive Director
