Sydney Harper is thrilled to return as a featured soloist with the Denver Philharmonic for Holiday Cheer!—ten years after first performing in this beloved concert. A Denver-based performer, teaching artist, and mother of two, Sydney is the founder and lead instructor of Harper Arts, a private performing arts studio serving students across the Front Range.
Sydney’s recent and upcoming symphony appearances span the country and beyond, including She’s Got Soul with The Cleveland Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Utah Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Naples Philharmonic, Sarasota Orchestra, Tucson Symphony, Arkansas Symphony, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and Asheville Symphony. She has also appeared in Aretha: A Tribute with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as with the San Francisco, San Diego, Utah, Fort Wayne, Anchorage, Colorado Springs, Wichita, Modesto, Southwest, and West Michigan symphonies. Other concert highlights include Holiday Celebration with Wyoming Symphony and The Music of Selena with the Colorado Symphony.
A versatile artist, Sydney’s theatrical and concert credits include Holiday Seó na Nollag: A Celtic Christmas Celebration (Irish Dance Theatre), Shuffle with Scott O’Neil and The Rosetta Music Society, Seussical (Mayzie La Bird/Music Director), Broadway Sings! with the Highlands Ranch Community Association, and Denver Night (Tragedy on the Sea Nymph, Liliana Porter).
Sydney holds a BFA in Music Theatre and a BA in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, as well as an MA in International Studies from the University of Denver’s Korbel School.
