Today, we honor the essential contributions of non-profits to our communities. As we look back on Denver Philharmonic Orchestra’s successes this past season, we invite you to join us in our mission to bring beautiful music to everyone.
Our Notable Achievements in 2023-24
Fundraising Success
We’re thrilled to share the success of our first-ever fundraising event, Oktoberfest, which raised $16,000. Additionally, we collected $12,749 on Colorado Gives Day. We’ve also launched the 75 Society, a monthly donation program, and received a DA&V grant for our upcoming concert at Sculpture Park.
Community Engagement
Through partnerships with Diebolt Brewery, Infinite Monkey Theorem, El Sistema Colorado, and others, we’ve strengthened our community ties and showcased the work of fellow non-profits.
Audience Growth
This season, we distributed over 5,900 tickets, marking a 46% increase. This includes more than 1,200 free and discounted tickets to new audiences.
Accessibility Initiatives
From braille programs to invited dress rehearsals and multilingual website translations, we’re committed to making our concerts accessible to all.
Our Future Goals
Increase Accessibility
We plan to expand our outreach to blind and low-vision communities with open captioning services and provide ASL interpretation at all main series concerts.
Audience Growth
We aim to grow our matinee performances, market them to families, and build relationships with senior centers and communities in Adams County and Thornton.
Programming
We’re expanding partnerships and establishing regular More Than Music programs, including the Instrument Petting Zoo and food trucks.
Leadership & Ventures
We are working to secure a Music Director for the 2025-26 season and explore the possibility of a DPO trip.
