Giddy up!
April 8, we welcome back Principal Guest Conductor Mark Mast to the Queen City of the Plains with a hearty howdy! Two nuggets kick off the evening — Variations on a Cowboy Tune by colorful Coloradan Cecil Effinger, trailed by Tom Taylor’s bluegrass lark, Big Basin Breakdown. We ride off into the sunset with Johannes Brahms’ first symphony — a work that took two decades to wrangle but left the composer ridin’ high in the saddle.
