As we prepare for Colorado Gives Day on December 10, we want to share key information and resources to help maximize our fundraising efforts.

Quick Reference Points for Social Media Posts

Here are some important points you can share on your social media to promote the Denver Philharmonic:

  • Ticket Distribution: 46% increase in ticket distribution this season.
  • Affordability: All individuals aged 18 years and younger receive free entry, and no one is turned away at the door. Over 1,200 free and discounted tickets distributed last season.
  • Engagement: More Than Music programming at each concert.
  • Accessibility: Braille programs at every concert; multi-language website translation.
  • Philharmania: Denver’s first classical music open mic night.

Want some more information on how to engage and communicate with potential donors? I had a conversation with a friend of mine, Daniel Escobar, the Director of Individual Giving & Governing Members at Pacific Symphony, and he provided a lot of fantastic insights that you can review.

Social Media Images

To assist you in promoting Colorado Gives Day, images have been created for you to use. You can post these images on Colorado Gives Day on December 10, and you may also use them for early giving starting November 1. Editable files have been provided in case you would like to change language from English to Spanish and vice versa. Do not alter the text to anything besides what is already placed – i.e. do not change from “Imagine the amount of good we can do together” to “Support DPO!” The chosen language is deliberate branding by Colorado Gives.

Downloadable Files – Google Drive
Editable Files –
Group 1; Group 2; Group 3; Group 4; Group 5 – Only for translation purposes. Do not alter the text content or overall branding. Use ctrl + z to undo mistakes.

Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Below is how to build an individual peer-to-peer fundraiser. This approach allows you to leverage your networks for specific fundraising goals. Watch this tutorial video for continued assistance.

Note: If you do not want to build a Peer-to-Peer Page, that is fine. Just simply share DPO’s organization page when sending emails or sharing posts on social media. The benefit of a Peer-to-Peer page is having a more personal touch with your individual networks, which helps with the overall snowball effect.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Creating a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser Page

  1. Navigate to: Colorado Gives.
  2. Create a profile: Click the “Log In” link in the top right corner and follow the prompts.
  3. Find a Cause: Use the “Find a Cause” button on the homepage to search for the Denver Philharmonic and click/tap on the page.
  4. Select Fundraise: Click “Get started!” to begin your fundraising page in “edit mode.”
  5. Personalize: Fill out the requested information and make it personal! Add a fun picture—feel free to download from our Facebook or ask for suggestions.
  6. Story: Include your personal story about what you love about the orchestra and how your friends and family’s generosity means to you.
  7. Use of Funds Chart: If applicable, we’ll communicate the numbers to use for a pie chart metric. Please do not attempt to guess this information. Leave blank.
  8. Save frequently: Make sure to save your work as you go.
  9. Publish and share: You can publish and share your page at any time but consider waiting until November 1 for matched donation dollars.

If you have any questions or need assistance with your personal fundraising page, please make sure to take appropriate individual steps (i.e. look up your inquiry on Google). If continued assistance is needed, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. Let’s make Colorado Gives Day a tremendous success!
