Woven from Many Threads
Kick off DPO’s dynamic 2025–26 season with Patchwork Nation, a powerful, uplifting concert that honors the vibrant diversity of American music—and celebrates our deep commitment to serving, honoring, and building community through music.
Through the lens of BIPOC composers and community voices, we’ll explore a musical mosaic woven from many threads: stories of heritage, resilience, and unity that reflect the true spirit of our nation.
The program features Jennifer Higdon’s exhilarating Low Brass Concerto and a special appearance from Denver native Mary D. Watkins, whose music and presence will bring a unique, local voice to the evening.
This inspiring season premiere invites you to listen deeply, reflect boldly, and honor voices too often left out of the spotlight. From the concert hall to the heart of our community, Patchwork Nation sets the tone for a season rooted in inclusion, connection, and joy.
