Last year, board leaders Sarah Hogan, Jon Olafson and Matt Meier raised money to help our musicians travel to Germany to perform with our sister orchestra, the Bavarian Philharmonic. Their “reward” was to perform Mozart — in front of Mozart’s house in Salzburg — on the instruments they played in middle school — for dozens of international tourists.
In the spring, after hitting our 2017 Colorado Gives Day goal, the trio reprised their act and performed LIVE in front of 900 patrons. They were supposed to have retired after that … interesting … performance.
Now, the Middle School Dropouts are ready to get the band back together if we match our 2017 Colorado Gives Day donations of $17,000. If we hit our stretch goal of $18,500, they’ll swap instruments.
