We’re Officially a Project for Awesome Winner
Denver Philharmonic Orchestra has been selected as one of 34 nonprofits worldwide to receive a $44,000 Project for Awesome grant. We are thrilled, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
What is Project for Awesome?
Project for Awesome (or P4A, as it’s known to its passionate community) is an annual fundraising event founded by authors and internet creators John and Hank Green. Each year, supporters come together to raise money for charitable organizations around the world, then vote for the nonprofits they believe are making the biggest difference in their communities.
This year was a record-breaker: more than 300 charity-promoting videos were uploaded to YouTube, over 20,000 donations were received, and the community raised an extraordinary $4.2 million for nonprofits around the globe. The DPO is proud to be among the 34 organizations selected to receive a grant from that pool.
The Video That Started It All
None of this would have happened without the video our community rallied behind. Watch it below, and if it makes you want to come experience the DPO live, well, that’s kind of the whole point.
Thank You
To everyone who watched, shared, and voted for our video: this is yours too. Thank you for believing in what we’re building here in Denver. Thank you to Project for Awesome for recognizing organizations making a real difference in their communities.
The best is yet to come. See you out there!
