Go shorty, it’s your birthday!
Presented by Ligature Creative
It’s Ludwig van Beethoven’s belated 250th birthday, and we’re reveling in his greatest hit, the Ninth Symphony! His “Ode to Joy” theme has inspired many artists since its debut including composer Diane Wittry. The celebration gets started with her festive Ode to Joy Fanfare, and the party doesn’t stop with Beethoven’s epic Choral Fantasy — Symphony No. 9 closes our season finale birthday bash!
And many mooore…
We’ll be taking the celebration across the pond to Munich, Germany. An encore of this performance will be performed in collaboration with the chorus of our transatlantic sister orchestra, the Bavarian Philharmonic, on July 16, 2022.
