Harlem of the East meets “Harlem of the West” in The Studio Loft at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House, March 9 & 10. The Grammy Award-winning Harlem Quartet and Cuban pianist/composer Aldo López-Gavilán join members of the Denver Philharmonic as part of the our “DPO With a Twist” chamber music series. With a Latin jazz flavor, this “Twist” is a can’t-miss collaboration featuring original music by López-Gavilán, Dizzy Gillespie, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Billy Strayhorn (March 9), and López-Gavilán and Felix Mendelssohn (March 10). Cover: $25–35.

Co-Presented by Denver Arts & Venues and the Denver Philharmonic as part of The Next Stage NOW. Denver Arts & Venues is partnering with artists and arts organizations to present The Next Stage Now, an initiative to create programming and placemaking in non-traditional ways throughout the Denver Performing Arts Complex, in support of The Next Stage Vision Plan. Unveiled in 2016, The Next Stage Vision Plan will re-energize the Arts Complex with new and updated venues, more public space and diverse and accessible programming.
