This morning, SCFD tweeted that it was the National Day of Unplugging:
Today is the National Day of Unplugging, and what’s a better way to unplug than to spend the day surrounded by beauty and culture? How are you going to unplug today? 🔌 ❌

Now there seems to be a National or International Day for just about everything you can think of — March 3 was National Cold Cuts Day — but after looking more into the National Day of Unplugging, it got me thinking that after a few busy weeks of work, life and being inundated with political and pandemic news, maybe 24 hours of unplugging is just what the doctor ordered. And if you feel like you too need a little reset, join me for a day without a screen.
Tonight, we’re hosting our second and final DPO With a Twist of the season. And for me, this intimate violin/piano chamber concert, hosted at The University Club, is the perfect place to kick off the respite from technology starting with cocktails at 6:30p, dinner at 7, and concert at 8.
We’ve got friends, food, dinner & drinks, and really, do we really need our phones to enjoy classical music over cocktails?
Hope to see to tonight!
