We at Cherry Creek Dance are so pleased to join the Denver Philharmonic and the Arvada Chorale for Holiday Cheer! — a wonderful evening of music and dance this weekend, December 20 and 21.
The music of the holiday season has always inspired me to find ways to bring young dancers into the community to spread joy and hope through dance. Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker represents so much of the magic and excitement of Christmas. It’s thrilling to be able to nurture Tchaikovsky’s understanding and appreciation of ballet through his symphonic arrangements to young dancers learning to bring music to life through movement.
The Cherry Creek Dance Performing Company has had the opportunity to perform variations of The Nutcracker but has never performed it with a full, live orchestra. For these young dancers to perform in the presence of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra and co-create this performance with the musicians is an honor.
We are delighted to perform with this amazing group of talented musicians and singers. I hope you will be able to join us for these magical performances this Friday and Saturday.
