Hailing from all corners of the globe, meet the 14 participants of our Fourth Annual International Conducting Workshop, Concert & Competition. Led by DPO Music Director Lawrence Golan and guest faculty Robert Spano, this array of veteran and up-and-coming conductors will spend a week of score study and programming classes, career development class, orchestra rehearsals and video reviews — all culminating in a final, live performance with the DPO orchestra at our The Maestro and his Maestro concert. Plus, at the discretion of the faculty, one competition winner will be invited back to guest conduct a piece with the DPO next season!
Meet the six participants who will conduct a movement at The Maestro and his Maestro on the main stage: Rebekah O’Brien, Armand Birk, Joseph Sieber, Gabriel Gordon, Ena Shin, and Misaki Hall.
And the eight conductors championing the baton for the pre-concert strings ensemble performance are: Pablo Pegalajar, Pierre Tang, Quinn Mason, Kelly Kawai Lam, Bennett Astrove, Adam DePriest, Ron Nash, and Charlotte Ruth Harrison.
