All this nice weather has me in a jolly mood, and I’m giddy with anticipation for our next concert, DPO With a Twist: School Spirits!
Hosted in the beautiful and historic College Room at The University Club, the chamber concert on Friday, March 6 showcases DPO Music Director Lawrence Golan on violin and pianist Steven Mayer performing old school works by Johannes Brahms, César Frank, Franz Liszt and a contemporary violin solo Lawrence wrote while pursuing his doctoral degree.
I’ll be there reppin’ my alma mater (go Aces!), but I’ve since graduated from cheap beer to old fashioneds. Speaking of… the bar opens for cocktails at 6:30, dinner is served at 7:00, and the show starts at 8.
