“OH NO!”
That was DPO board vice-chairman Matt Meier’s reaction when he found out we met our $17,000 Colorado Gives Day 2018 goal. He was thrilled for the orchestra, but reaching our goal means he and board leaders Jon Olafson and Sarah Hogan must reprise their act and perform LIVE at an upcoming concert. That’s right, generous donors — you did it! The Middle School Dropouts will have an encore of their … ahem… performance last spring: Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg 🙀
The “Dropouts” are a silly schtick with a serious purpose. We are so very grateful to each of you who donated on Colorado Gives Day 2018, and for each gift we receive throughout the year. Organizations like the DPO rely on people like you who recognize the value of contributing to the arts in our communities.
Donors like you make it possible for the DPO to perform each season, to bring in amazing soloists and to achieve our mission to continually redefine the way our community experiences and engages with classical music.
Thank you again, dear patrons, your support is everything to us.
PS. There’s still time to give before the end of the year! If we hit the stretch goal of $18,500 by the Friday, December 21 performance of Holiday Cheer!, the Dropouts will swap instruments. Contribute now!
