First of all, hi. 👋 We miss you. We know we’ve been a bit quiet over here, but know that we’re working hard on the 2020–21 Season to make sure that any future concerts are presented as safely as possible.
Second, we wanted to share the news with you that Denver Film is presenting an encore screening of their 2019 Film Festival People’s Choice Award, The Conductor. The stirring drama is based on the true story of Dutch musician (and DPO founder!) Antonia Brico, who became one of the first women ever to conduct a professional symphony orchestra when she signed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in the late 1920s. But her struggles didn’t end there.
This Friday & Saturday, catch this thrilling film streaming through Denver Film’s Virtual Cinema portal. Your ticket ($13) also includes an exclusive pre-recorded filmmaker conversation with Director Maria Peters and Lead Actor Christanne de Brujin!
